ident prob

hi all , i recently have a prob with FlashFXP v3.02Build1044 (register user).i work with it since long time and one day this message "Ident Server: Unable to listen on port 113" are appeared. Irc is running all the time with flashfxp and no prob usually exept since now.
i've launch tcpview for seen if some programs use this port, but none :(
i've tried with an old version of flashfxp ( 2.0RC1 build860) and it works fine, i dont understand.
if anyone can help me

If you close all other applications does it work?

Do you have a software based firewall? perhaps it's blocking the port.

it doesnt work when i close all other application.
I have a firewall (software) but, an older version of flashfxp work fine so i dont think the firewall block the port .i've tried to disable the firewall also.

Most software firewalls make a checksum of the program and only allow that specific version of the program.

You need to make sure that the new version is fully allowed in your firewall. Also some firewalls like ZoneAlarm can't really be disabled, even when it is disabled it will still block programs.

i've tried to fully uninstall my firewall but nothing change. damn :(

i had a similar prob, impossible to connect some site with identID ..
but it was my routeur, was weird... u shure it's not ur routeur ?? which on u use?

I finally solved my problem with the system restoration of xp.
Now it works with all version of ffxp as before :)
