Hey iv been using flashfxp for quite a while but i recenty ran my own tests and to my suprise version 2.x a downloading/uploading much faster then 3.x... is this just me or is anyone else seeing this aswell? Has the code been changed that much? Because i like version 3 password revealer but 2.x seems to run so much faster.. quite weird.:rolleyes:

Out of curiosity which specific builds did you test?

When you installed v3.0 did you install it into a new folder?

It is possible that a legacy setting left over from v2.x is slowing it down. To eliminate this possbility you will need to delete the FlashFXP.ini, this will clear all your custom FlashFXP settings.

Results seem to vary quite a bit from system to system.

On my systems v3.0.2 is much faster than v2.1 hands down.

Most of the transfer code was not touched in v3.x

well iv tested 2.0 (build 908) 2.1 (build 924) and the latest build i tested was 3.0.2 (build 1044) i dont uslly install them into a new folder i just replace the exe file. like id download it from the website into a dummy folder and copy over the exe file. i will try to tottaly remove the ini file. ill also post the result.

I also noticed the mentioned above quite some time ago.

FlashFXP 3.0 to current seem slower than previous versions.
