I'm currently using the Flashfxp 3.0 build 1015 trial version and the maximum download speed i get is 250kbs.
My broadband connection is 3mb cable.
I am using default settings.
I've asked many of my friends who download from the same ftp site and they're getting speeds upto 350kbs.
Can anybody please advice me as I am new to all this.
Regards,
Festa

maybe u need to look into tweaking your connection. ffxp is able to max out a 100mbit line

Thanks for you're reply MidKnight,
but i don't know how to tweak my connection, i'm a total beginner.
Could it be because I'm using the trial version?

If you use another ftp client do you get 350kbs?
The trial version of FlashFXP is not crippled in any way. You will get the same speed whether it's registered or in trial mode.

Just because you have 3mbit cable doesn't necessarily mean you'll get 3mbit speeds. perhaps 250 kb/s is your max speed.

Umm I thought you were downloading, not uploading?
Changing the upload packet size shouldn't have any effect on downloading. It's only used in the upload routine.
