Greetings,

I just installed the FINAL version of FlashFXP.

Now when i run LiveUpdate i get this message:

"This copy of FlashFXP is running from a different location than the originally installed copy. Please run LiveUpdate from the correct copy, or run the full installer available at:

https://oss.azurewebsites.net/download.php
"

Now. I wonder cause i have had flashfxp installed in the same dir for a long time. Actually since i registered my copy. All the latest beta's i've installed in the same dir. Just overwritten the previous installation. It worked fine with the beta's, but the final version gives me this message.

How come?

FlashFXP v3 FINAL
Windows XP - All updates

Greetings again,

I noticed another thing. As i was "browsing" the help file i noticed that you MUST click on the items in the tree with the mouse in order to change. Usually when i look in help files, i click on the top item and use the arrow-keys to look around. This isn't possible with the FlashFXP help file since mouse-clicks is the only way.

Not that i use the help a lot :-)

Just a thought.

Live Update has been disabled if any of the following are true.

o FlashFXP does not appear to be running from the Installed location.
o FlashFXP.exe does not match the last properly Installed version.

This protects primary installations of FlashFXP from being corrupted by secondary copies or copies being run from a removable device such as a USB key.

This also prevents residual registry/uninstall data from being left behind on a machine which FlashFXP is being run from a removable device or temporary copy.

Although Raccoon's statements are true, there was a small glitch in the code that made it display the error improperly for some installations. For those of you who were having problems, please re-download the setup. It has been fixed :)

Just FYI, the URL listed in the initial post includes an extra closing tag, invalidating the link.

Great job on releasing the final, only thing i feel sad about that u couldnt add the feature to start flashfxp from commandline with extensions, like loading special queues and selective transfers, so that i can use flashfxp to work with windows scheduler, but i'm still hoping to see this feature in the near future

You can do this, take a closer look at the command line section of the help file.

well i cant, here's what happened:

i tried starting flash from command line by just typing FLASHFXP.EXE ftp://ftp.sierra.com/, which didnt work then i tried it like this e:\eigene dateien\FXP\FLASHFXP.EXE ftp://ftp.sierra.com/ just for testing, but windows said FLASHFXP.EXE ftp://ftp.sierra.com/has not been found, be sure u typed it correctly blah blah blah,
then i tried e:\eigene dateien\FXP\flashfxp.exe without anything else and it worked. so i uninstalled Flash and deleted all registry keys i found with regedit which had flashfxp.exe in them, restarted my PC and did a full reinstall of the final v3 but that didnt change a thing. so am i missing here something?

"e:\eigene dateien\FXP\FLASHFXP.EXE" ftp://ftp.sierra.com/

Provided that "e:\eigene dateien\FXP\FLASHFXP.EXE" really exists...
