Nice little app but it would be nice if it could import data, like addresses from a CVS file so one wouldn't have to rewrite all the addresses from OE or other apps....

This is a good and useful program that I have started using after your last message.

I have a suggestion concerning the Commit/Modified tags. Could it be possible to have them for each individual item in the groups, or for each group so we can see what item/group was modified. And also maybe add a date/time it was modified.

Great Work! :)

The Commit button was intended for purely for debug purposes, Allowing the user to save any changes in case of a possible crash. Otherwise the changes are saved on exit. Your suggestion wouldn't be possible due to design.

I was considering a last modified myself, along with a way to lock an item/group to prevent accidental editing, and maybe an undo.

Unfortunately I no longer have the time I once had to work on it, perhaps maybe after new years.

I see...I was mistaken in the use of the commit function. I thought it was a locking mechanism that would enable you to see whether any changes had been made to the data since you last pressed commit (in case an unauthorized person had accessed it and made changes). Just my paranoia kicking in, don't worry :)

Thanks for listening to my suggestion.

I like this program too, but I'd like to see an optional lock option when it's in the icon tray just like FlashFXP. Besides that it's a nice and useful tool

Thanks!

Really nice proggy, I love the design and functionnality, I have requests:

Could you change the way a webpage is started when pressing the magnifying glass in the Password section, so it's not the current opened browser that is reused but a new instance, please ! :)

A built-in sheduler will be welcome, for birthday for example.

Thanks a lot for all your great soft ;)

The "Notes" tab under "Adress book" doesn't work at all, never change are saved (in the database), and when writing something, the "Commit" button doesn't toggle to enable.

Hope you will correct that ASAP

Hmmm, I just noticed it's not possible to change the master password? Would be a nice addition to the previous suggestion I made :)

What about having an optional field for filtering? Category of business, personal, etc. Could apply to each section... Could make it easier to look for a specific password (for example) if you have more than say 20 passwords listed?

Hey,

Great piece of software, very useful...

A minor bug related to the magnifying glass to go to links, if its an https link, then i get my browser trying to go to:

http://https//www.......

and yes, i'm sure the link is https://www...... (with the colon) in the field in masterlock.

Cheers.

Will there be an official release for this program? I'm kind of "iffy" on using beta software (ironically, I'm using FlashFXP Build 909, but lets not go there ;))

Please forgive me if this feature is already implemented: The ability to export certain categories to a text file (eg.: export websites to text file and choose to have in the text file format for which you can import into FlashFXP)

No I'm afraid not. This was a pet project that never went anywhere.

It was designed as a test base to test the integity of encrypting/decrpyting program data. This same method was later used to encrypt the FlashFXP data files.

This is the behavior of MSIE, and not Masterlock. If you want all of your links to open in a new instance, in Internet Explorer, go to Tools > Options > Advanced and uncheck "Reuse Windows for Shortcuts[/b]

A question for Bigstar:

Does this program place any keys or data in the registry?

I don't have the source code with me, i'm still in illinois, I don't believe it does. I can confirm once I return home.

Wow, that's a long time you've been away ;)

So...to answer my question, are there any keys placed in the registry with this tool?

Sorry I totally forgot about this thread.. My trip to illinois turned out to be more than just a trip, I ended up moving here.

No, I don't see any registry entries in my source code.

i would like to see a feature that lets us rightclick on a webpassword form, like online email, or other systems and then import the user/pass you want.
ofcourse it would popup a window that tells you to enter password(customizable) to decrypt the database.

as now ive either memorized the pass/login or i have to start it manually and search for the correct info.
would be cool with one where you can enter what sitename/host you want and then it would automaticly pick the right username/pass for that host.

I agree, That would be very cool. Maybe that's something I can look into down the road.

Hi, I just recently came across to these forums and registered out of curiosity. Once I downloaded it, I couldn't believe that I found this neat little app! :D
I love its simplicity and the fact that it's so light-weight (no dependencies, little RAM, little hd space, and portable to boot) and was wondering a few things; if you plan on releasing the source code for it, the tech specs of the crypto involved & whether or not there will be an update released?

Thank you, there is no link to that website and no information that it existed before so I'll assume that it's under construction. Hoping for the best and I can't wait!
