As it looks like I'm going to have to move away from FlashFXP I was wondering what alternatives others had moved to?

I'd really like something with a similar side by side view, and where you can see the command output of what's happening, pause the transfer, edit the transfer queue etc. Also really important that I can retreive stored passwords.

Is there anything that comes close?

I'm dabbling with WinSCP at the moment, but not a massive fan. Doesn't have to be free, just want to find the right piece of software.

thanks,
John

Yeah bro, I'm in the same boat..

This morning, I tested the following tools: FileZilla, CuteFTP, FTP Rush, Cyberduck, CrushFTP, and WinSCP. And the only tool among these ones that comes close to FlashFXP is WinSCP. The other tools are bad or weird.. or just meh.
Man, it sucks so much that the owner/developer is in custody. Can't he just release the code so that it becomes open source and the community can continue the development? I really love FlashFXP, I've been using it for like.. what.. 15 years? It's my go-to program for FTP transfers and site management. It sucks so much that the development has been stopped. Don't want the software to be gone..

He can't. FlashFXP uses purchased commercial components which can't be open-sourced. Plus FlashFXP is written in Delphi, i doubt there are many developers willing to pick that up to continue its development. And the biggest issue is that bigstar doesn't have access to computers or at the very least his personal computers which have the code.

I did much the same as you and went through all of those (except FTP Rush). Finally settled on FileZilla. After a bit of tweaking it can work in much the same way as FlashFXP. I even found a way of importing the sites from FlashFXP which sealed the deal for me! Now I've adjusted I actually quite like FileZilla and am happy with it as an alternative.

One annoyance of FileZilla is that you can't add things to the transfer queue if a transfer is already in progress. That was a really nice feature of FlashFXP.

I do miss FlashFXP but FileZilla will have to do.
