Compatibility busted when using Flashfxp with ZFTPServer

It seems I cannot transfer files with FlashFXP when using FTPS and SFTP. both will let me login and connect but when it comes to transferring a file pasv failure and port failures. However when connecting with Cuteftp Pro 8 everything is fine.

Well sorry. I didn't I was part of your bugs fix team. My job as a customer is to report that its not working and ensure its not on my end. I have done that. Your job is to figure out why and fix it.

Also XFTPServer does offer a free 30 day trial unlocked if you want to test everything out first hand. I'm sure its far simpler than ask me all kinds of questions.

No offense I just expect the software to work. I have better things to do than to give detailed logs. Granted I know this is a beta product and I do understand what that means but I also understand its also not up to me to do all the footwork in finding out the exact cause.

I like being just a dumb user and prefer to keep it that way.

Here's my results

With SFTP I did not experience any problems uploading or downloading. Was there a specific error message when you tried?

With FTPS I did experience problems using passive mode (PASV); It appears that maybe a firewall on the FTP server is blocking the incoming data connections used for data transfers. (based on the PASV reply this port range starts at 2048)

With FTPS I did not experience problems using active mode (PORT); but I have the necessary ports forwarded on my router to my local machine to accept incoming connections.

The only obvious problem I can see is with your server blocking PASV mode connections.

Without seeing a session status log from CuteFTP I cannot say why it worked and FlashFXP didn't.

I just tested FlashFXP again with your FTP server and it would appear that passive mode (PASV) is now working, did you make any changes?

No I didn't but yes I notice its seems to working as well as far as connecting but I still cannot download. The transfer selected is greyed out.

This beta release of FlashFXP will stop functioning in 41 days on 4/24/2014, do not distribute this release.

I have been upgrading over each release I wonder if something got corrupted do to a bad upgrade. Going to Uninstall and delete the folders and do a fresh install/activation

I assume you selected some files/folders in the list, please check to see what control has focus.

There has been some problems with the transfer selected button but I was under the impression that this issue was resolved quite some time ago, I will do some research into this when I have more time.



What if you right-click on your selection can you then select transfer from the popup menu?

Or what if you try dragging from one side to the other?
