I don't know what's going on, is it because the files are so large the the machine goes idle before completing the transfer? I've just set the options to send anti-idle keep alives, will that be sufficient to complete the transfer? Should I also do something about the passive mode?

When logging into the server it clearly indicates that it does not support passive mode.

[R] 220 Warning: This FTP site don't support PASSIVE MODE.

You'll need to change the the Data Connection Mode to Active Mode in the Site Manager on the Options tab

However not all SOCKS proxy support/allow Active mode connections, so if switching to Active Mode doesn't work then most likely its because of the proxy.
