Hi
I would like to know if there is any way, in FlashFXP (last version up-to-date), to edit a local file and to automatically upload it to a remote location when the file is modified/saved.

Connect to the remote server and navigate to the location where you want the file to be uploaded, then right-click on the file in the local browser and from the right-click menu select Advanced Transfer > Edit and upload.

It is what I've done, but nothing happens when I save the file (I use an external editor, Notepad++, perhaps it comes from this fact)

did you configure FlashFXP to use notepad++ to edit the file or are you starting notepad++ in some other way?

From within FlashFXP on the main menu, Options > File Associations

Add a new file association for example

File Mask
*.txt

Open With
\path\to\notepad

check the two options
[x] view
[x] edit

finally click the save button.

Yes I open Notepad++ from FlashFXP (and my N++ instance is set as default file editor for the PHP files I'm currently modifying).

In fact, the "save and upload" works only for remote files :(

It sounds like you have everything set correctly.

If you open the active edits window (from the FlashFXP window menu > View > Active Edits) does it show the file in the active edits list?

What type of storage is the local file on? hdd, removable drive, network drive, etc?

In fact, the "save and upload" works only for remote files :(

The save and upload feature is specifically designed to work for local files, that fact that doesn't work for you has me rather puzzled.

In fact it now works (perhaps I only needed to close/open FlashFXP)

Thanks !
