In local browser of FlashFXP when being in My Computer level all drives are listed like randomly even when pressing Name column header which should sort by name. When pressing again then list reverses but still maintaining it's first random listing. It isn't selected by drive letter and not by drive name also. In drop down menu everything is correctly seen as by drive letter (A:, C:, D:, etc). When entering into some drive then all folders and files are sorted correctly by its name.
I attached two pictures also.
Bug or feature?

Did this issue occur in previous versions such as 4.1, 4.0 or 3.6?

Unfortunately cannot tell. I'm using this area very very rarely and today I just noticed this.
I download older versions from portal and will test it tomorrow. I see there are some still some portable installers left.
EDIT:
Still tested today though it's already over midnight here.
New portable fresh install and results are:
3.6.0.1240 - OK
4.0.0.1548 - OK
4.1.8.1701 - NOT

Can you please test this dev build and let me know if the issue has been resolved

Just unzip the flashfxp.exe into your FlashFXP program folder.

New build 1736 shows drives correct. Thanks
Though one thing I noticed. Last ones after drives and control panel are folders (shared documents and user documents). Now I have folder "Shared Documents" and then under this comes user documents where user name starts with letter D. Should these be also alphabetically sorted or not? Or are these folders handled differently by Windows engine anyway ie Shared folders are always before user folders regardless with what letters it starts?
Though it's not problem for me as it is shown now.

The sort is done in two steps, the first step is passed to windows shell interface to perform the comparison, the second step is where we make sure that folders and real drive letters are on top (when group folders on top is checked)
Since the other entries are shortcuts and virtual name spaces they appear at the bottom.
