I went to use ftp today and my flashfxp.exe disappeared!
I better have not lost all my data too!
All the other files are there I think.
Where is my data located? I have over 100 sites on file.

Hello,
The FlashFXP installer will never overwrite or replace your existing data files.
You will just need to re-install FlashFXP using the same configuration as your previous installation.
Was the flashfxp.exe deleted by your anti-virus software or perhaps by the Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool that is installed and often run as part of Windows update?
We have seen rogue versions of FlashFXP floating around on websites that contain trojans and mal-ware. This is the most common reason for our software to just disappear without notice or warning.
Its important to only use FlashFXP releases downloaded from official sources.

Thanks for reply (email too).
I don't know what happened. I checked AVG log and didn't see anything, so I have no clue why it disappeared. I also ran Lavasoft Adware recently but it didn't pick anything up at all.
Oh well, I reinstalled and data is still there. Thanks.

Sometimes it happens that that the avg and kasperskey antivirus most of the times deletes the .exe files thinking them as virus. So probably I think in your case is also the same :)

Why Kaspersky or AVG detects FlashFXP as a virus or something like that? My kaspersky never detected FlashFXP.

Patschi, ignore nayan007. He doesn't know what he's talking about.

Ah, okay ;D
More than likely he means that sometimes the updated virus files that AVG and Kaspersky use, detects .exe files as being bad when they aren't, this is known as a false positive. Your best option is to inform Kaspersky or AVG that their software is wrong and ask them to update their files.
I have had to do this with Eset NOD32 a few times

NOD32 doesn't detect anything:

Carpo, if there was a false-positive, by now we'd have a flood of people complaining about this problem. Here we have just a single user.
