Version 4 build 1540. Does not list symbolic links for files or directories.
LIST displays no list at all
STAT -L displays no list at all
MLSD displays regular files and folders, but no symbolics.
ProFTPD FTP server
Any suggestions?

When using the MLSD command the server automatically resolves symbolic links. So a symbolic link to a folder is treated as a folder when the information arrives to the client.

Did the latest update and no change for displaying symbolic files and folders.
New problem with build 1548 - the Edit for local and remote files for html and cgi extensions now Execute instead of Edit. FlashFXP has worked great for two years, until I did a reinstall and repurchase in March for a new computer.

Opps - OK I figured out the File Associations thingy for editing. Still can not list symbolic files and folders, but I can live with that.

Change the List Method in the Site Manager > Options Tab from MLSD to LIST
However if your file transfer rules are set to overwrite/resume based on the file modified date time then MLSD will provide more accurate results.
Does flashfxp handle MLSD data of the form type=OS.unix=slink:/path/to/target ? I think servers can return symbolic link data using that form, and a number do, but it isn't exactly standardized. I found a link at http://www.rfc-editor.org/errata_search.php?rfc=3659 if you search for "symbolic" which shows an RFC approved method to return links using the unique identifier fact with an entry for the link and the target, but I think servers cheat and just return the non-standard link format without the additional result.

Yes it does, though its only been tested with pure-FTPD.
Depending on the FTP server software there may be some unknown compatibility issues.
Most servers simply send links as regular folders.

"Change the List Method in the Site Manager > Options Tab from MLSD to LIST"
LIST & STAT-L produce no list of any files at all. MLSD produces a list of all files except symbolic links.

Did you change this setting while connected to the FTP server?
There is a pending bug report indicating that this doesn't work and that you must reconnect for it to take effect. I haven't had a chance to investigate this issue yet.

If I change to LIST. then close FXP, then restart FXP, it lists all files including the symbolic link. Just doing a unconnect-reconnect does not do it, FXP has to be closed.
It then shows the wrong size and 777 permissions for the symbolic link file (real permission is 644) and it can not be downloaded, edited, or overwritten by upload, but it can be deleted. This seems like a good combination.
