Hello!

I know this is a silly question because it might be that 1000 of other people asked it before. I also tried searching for other topics where I could get an answer without success.

I'm just a bit curious if there are any plans to release a native 64-bit Flash FXP.

Thanks in advance for the answer.

The compiler currently used to build FlashFXP is not capable of creating native 64-bit executables.

Ah okay, good to know. So it is just a matter of time when the compiler is going to support it or is it definitely that there will be no 64-bit FlashFXP until you use a different compiler - sorry still curious. ;)

Personally I don't think that there will be a lot of difference in performance between 64 and 32 bit FlashFXP but maybe I'm wrong. I'm not really an expert.

Anyway thanks for your answer!

there is nothing that flashfxp is doing that's cpu or memory intensive that would benefit from 64bit compile. so the only benefit would be purely consistency that 64bit os is running 64bit apps..
