hi,

may it be ioftpd is not able to run under windows x64 os? i use windows 7 and would like to continue use ioftpd. when starting the ioftpd.exe of my v6.9.3 by right click -> run as admin i get this error:
Function 'initialize daemon' failed
Failed to initialize module 'Services'
I dont understand why it complains about the services as i did not install io as a service.

how could i fix this problem?

regards, mark

This indicates a problem with the "services" module (ftp, http, telnet were the 3 services support at one time) and these are not the same as windows services. Check the settings under [FTP_Services] in the .ini file and the devices associated with it as something there is having problems / missing / etc. Try starting with the .ini file from the original zip just to prove the server will start fine and it's a settings issue.

I haven't tested it with win7, but win7 isn't very different than vista or win2k8 and ioFTPD works fine on both of those.

I get instant crash on Windows XP Pro x64 in the new version 7.0.1, as soon as i add new paths to default.vfs, if i only leave the root folder in there it will startup, but as soon as i add other paths it crashes, with the following error:

Unhandled exception: Access Violation (0xC0000005)
Address: 0x7D4D8815 [attempting to write data to 0x00000002]
PID=1144, PATH=C:\ioFTPD\system\ioFTPD.exe

If you want the minidump and tinydump files just say so and i will upload them to you.

And thanks for all your hard works guys ;-)

Yeah, appears I have the same problem as you but i'm using Windows 2003 SP2 32bits, just waiting for a solution.
