I was not able to reproduce this behavior. How are you trying to open the folder?

I'm really not sure whats going on here, I can't reproduce the problem and there's really no explanation for this type of behavior. You might try re-installing FlashFXP from the download on our website, perhaps your installation is corrupted.

If that still doesn't help, you could try updating to the latest beta release of FlashFXP.

I will install the beta version and update you later.

Thanks.

The only thing I can think of is perhaps some other application is conflicting with FlashFXP. I simply can't explain this behavior.

OK it was solved in my case.
I found this problem happens when I run babylon (translation software) at the same time.
After closing babylon the problem had been solved.

I downloaded babylon and tested this configuration with Windows 7, unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the problem.

Perhaps there are multiple programs on your computer that when combined cause this behavior?

I run windows xp.
I really don't know what is to cause this problem but I found when I run babylon 8.0 the problem comes back.

When I use flashfxp I close babylon to avoid this problem.

Thank you for providing the answer to this issue, Ironically I can't reproduce the behavior no matter how hard I try, It would appear that many people have this issue.

I am going to continue to try and reproduce the issue because I'd like to resolve this, it may need to be something that is fixed in babylon, one thought is maybe when babylon tries to copy the text it send the shortcut ctrl+insert which triggers the change directory dialog.

The situation for me is a bit different:
I use FlashFXP, babylon, and the AIMP2 media player.
Both FlashFXP and AIMP2 have a window that opens on Ctrl+Insert.

When I double clicked in the window of FlashFXP or AIMP2, a window of the Ctrl+Insert keys opened.
Then I removed this key shortcut in AIMP2, and that fixed the problem for both FlashFXP and AIMP2.

Also, there's such topic in the AIMP2 forums.
Weird stuff...

In future versions of FlashFXP ctrl+insert will select the folder path input, instead of displaying a dialog for input. I'm not quite sure what impact this change will have on Babylon, only time will tell.

But it looks like Babylon needs to add special handling for applications that use ctrl+insert for other purposes.

It is something related to the babylon "Ctrl+ Right mouse button".
When I change this configuration to "Ctrl+ Left mouse button" the problem disappeared.
