Hey guys frist of all i have to say iam not so good at computers!

iam runing ioftpd dont know which version iam runing (where can i find that out?)

my issue is how do I get the "PASSIVE" Mode working?
As that is what I am looking for...

because i made anonymous a account to my friends so they can brows to that from they webb-browser.


can plz some one be on specify on that how i can get "PASSIVE" Mode working?








if you like i can past the all info from ioftpd.ini so you guys can tell me where i should edit on that!!

i'm sorry but I think soemthing like serv-u would serve you better if you don't want to learn ioftpd.

i love to learn the ioftpd.

thats why iam asking this kind of help and iam not asking A to Z
just where can i get the "PASSIVE" Mode working?

If you have looked in the ini file you would have read this.

# By default, the only device is the "Any" device, configured to bind
# to all local ip addresses and to use a reasonable port range for ftp
# passive connections that you MUST forward in routers/firewalls.

I do have very old version of the iloftpd
i dont think that text you mean is there :-(

i do have netgear router 614

Try grabbing ioFTPD 6.9.3 from the thread pinned at the top of this forum... Then read the .ini file. Hint, you want the HOST= setting :)
