I was wondering isnt a good idea to get the scripterspool back up again? In the past there were many many scripters active but clearly not anymore. Only 1 or 2 scripters are active. We need scripters to make ioFTPD complete. To motivate the scripters, the old scripters and the future ones i think its a nice idea to bring back the scripterspool!!!

Second i think ioFTPD forum really needs to move to a seperate website. Why not make www.ioFTPD.com active again? If no one wants to host it let me know and i will host it without a problem. Also setting it up with a forum, scripterspool etc etc i,m willing to do it for free. Its only to the benefits of the ioFTPD users if we get a cleary pointed ioFTPD website "only" without finding your wat thru inicoms flashfxp website. No bad words about inicom but one thing should be said .... BACKUP should be in your dictionary. Ofcourse YiL has to agree with this proposition and anyone i do forget.
By the way Dont take it wrong!!! I only want the best for ioFTPD and his folks.

Well make a choice and let ioFTPD and his community grow to its fully potential :D:D:D;)

Wasnt there an idee before of already making such an website...

Anyways I think its a greate idee. Would love to see something like this happend. Also bringing back the scripterspool as you say might incurage more scripters to come forward or for that matter come back from the "dead" hehe.

the scripters pool was not a relly successful idea from the start. The lack of scripters doesn't have much todo with money since it will never pay enough with a scripters pool to make it pay off.

I would grant that the ioftpd.com idea is not a bad suggestion. As it is now, most people do't even know that ioftpd is udner active development.

Wikipedia... never updated anything there before, but I remember seeing an ioFTPD entry a long time ago... We should probably go update that page with current history and if possible include a user driven FAQ section or something. I agree, a lot of people seem to only know of 5.8.x and are shocked to see all the new features...

I did have a look at wikipedia with the link to sourceforce and noticed there is indeed a ioFTPD section. But its not updated at all. Also i see there is such a kind as a forum but its very very limited and not suited to set it up as this forum. Also i think personally alot of peeps dont want to see all kind of ads by google around the forum etc. Anyway the ioFTPD community does need a forum like this but with its own domain name like www.ioFTPD.com.
Putting the link on sourceforge to that forum would look nice :)
