Got some weird problem when using flashfxp
downloading files from ftp.sunet.se
it ends up around 900 kb
when using internet explorer/ftprush it ends up with 3.5 mbit
Did check the speed limit within flashfxp , no limits there
Any idea why its behaving like this ?
Using 3,53 1220 build

Browser download speed numbers are very unreliable because after you click on a link, while you are selecting if you want to open or save and where to save, browser is downloading in the background. so once you click on OK, it instantaneously jumps from 0 to whatever is downloaded up to that point, which skews transfer speed. if you want more accurate numbers, download wget from http://www.christopherlewis.com/WGet/WGetFiles.htm and use it to give you more accurate transfer speeds.
Regarding FlashFXP
1)upgrade to the newest build, 1220 is old
2)F6, Connection, tcp/ip buffer size. change those values, restart flashfxp and see transfer speed. largest or smallest numbers are not necessarily the best.

3.5.3 build 1220 is the latest beta release publicly available, There are newer builds but they are only available to official beta testers.
You should have no problems using build 1220.
A couple factors are whether or not you're using passive mode, sometimes the direction of the connection can be faster one way vs the other. If ftprush is using passive mode for transfers you should use the same mode in flashfxp.
Another setting you can adjust is located in Preferences > Connection > TCP/IP Buffer Size, some values work better than others, its best to start out using default and then work your way up. This value can only be changed while FlashFXP is not connected to a ftp server, if you change it while connected it will have no effect until you restart FlashFXP.
