Unable to listen on 113???

i setup a server program called bulletproof ftp to allow my friend to ftp into my pc and take files, but when he tries to access it using flashfxp he gets a unable to listen on 113 error. how can i get him access?

thats his client sending a ident. tell im to open port 113 or just disable ident if he dosent need it.

opening port probably won't help since ffxp can't find to port 113.
sounds like he has mirc or some other client configured to always have ident turned on, isntead of only when connecting.

how does he turn ident off? or is that something i need to turn off on my server program?

no, based on your told us, it's a problem on his computer and not your server.
he needs check all the running applications that could be using that port. mirc is a common cause this problem. he needs to configure it to enable ident only while conecting, not all the time.

or on your end, make sure that your server is not checking for ident, then he'll be able to connect even if his doesn't work.
