Hi,
Thanks for any input.. My information is Flash Version 3.40 (build 1145) Registered Yes
Windows XP
Running behind router NO
running firewall. Yes windows firewall
Anti virus Avast Version 4.7 Professional
Network Cable DSL

My question is I will be getting a new PC at the end of this week and I will need to move FlashFXP over to it. Can someone tell me the best way to go about this? Would it be better to re-download it after I move or back it up now on an external hard-drive and then move it over?

If I need to re-download it on the new PC is there a place I can do that without having to re pay?

Thanks in advance.

Jill

Below is the best way to do it.

1. Start FlashFXP
2. From the main menu > Tools > Backup\Restore Configuration > Backup
3. Select the location to store the backup and click Save (i.e. usb drive)

Now install FlashFXP on your new computer and *register it.
1. Start FlashFXP
2. From the main menu > Tools > Backup\Restore Configuration > Restore
3. Select the backup file and open it. (you'll get a prompt to select which information to restore, you'll want everything selected and click Ok).

* Your registration key is not stored in the backup file.

Hi Bigstar,
Thank you very much for the directions on how to move FlashFXP. I have my registration code saved in an email so I can get that from there.

Thanks again

To retrieve your registration key you can also always use this account (FlashFXP Registered User) to access your license key through the Customer Portal under the category "My FlashFXP Keys".
