A friend of mine just downloaded FlashFXP because he started modding his Xbox. We installed it, ran it and got him all set up. We added a new site, with the IP on the site the same as his xbox, and the subnet mask and gateway are set to the same value. The username and password are both the same, on the program and on his xbox. I can connect to his xbox whenever he brings it to my house, but it won't work over at his house. He hits connect and it just says:

Winsock 2.0 -- OpenSSL 0.9.8b 04 May 2006
[R] Connecting to Unleashx ->IP=192.168.1.6 PORT=21
[R] Connection failed (connection refused)
[R] Delaying for 120 seconds before reconnect attempt #1

I don't know what's causing this. We've tried removing his router completely, and connectin his xbox directly to his NIC card with a crossover cable. That still didn't work. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Can you ping the IP? If you cant reach it with ping it's probably a network error.

OK, so it turns out it's a network error I suppose. He typed in "ping 192.168.1.6" and it says "request timed out", then a little later it says "packets: sent=4, recieved=0, lost=4 <100% loss>"

His connection is as follows:
Cable------Modem-----Router>Xbox and Router>Computer

what could be the problem?

I don't know if any of you can help me but I would be super thankful if you can. I have had this working in the past but recently it stopped :confused:

Thanks.
