I get this error "426 Connection closed: Client disconnected during key exchange." when trying to fxp to my ioFTPD v6.0.1.
As I understand from reading through the knowledge base, its because its not a registered version of ioFTPD. But isn't ioFTPD freeware/opensource now?
Anyone with a solution?
Thank you in advance.
You're correct that v6+ supports SSL. Your attempt to FXP is most likely configured wrong and you left out all the details to solve it...
Which FTP client are you using? What is the other server you're trying to talk to? If you're using FlashFXP for instance do you have "secure site to site" enabled for BOTH sites in site manager? I think you fail with the above error if only one side is configured for SSL FXP since the other side won't know it's supposed to participate in a key exchange...
Did you create the SSL certificate and are you using logging in via a TLS/SSL control connection? If so then pay attention to which side SSCN configures as client if it still doesn't work. Cut/paste your FTP log from both servers for more help.

Sorry for my vague info, I just thought it was a general error (should know better then to question you guys skills). It was wrong configuration at the other server that caused it.
Big thanks to all the people who helped make ioFTPD what it is, you guys are great!
