Setting up as a server

Forgive the ignorance, this is my first attempt at any type of FTP style program. I got this program in hopes of setting it up as a server to share files with family (spread all over the place). Will this program allow me to do that? and is there a "how to for dummies" out there regarding this subject.

FlashFXP is an ftp CLIENT. you use it to connect to other ftp SERVERS...just like you use IE or FireFox, which are web browsers/clients to connect to web SERVERS.
so flashfxp is just 1 half of such setup.
you will have to use ftp server software and then your family will have to use ftp client software, such as flashfxp, to connect to you.
