View Full Version : Please help - how to enable multipart downloading?

Im testing several FTP client trials and like FlashFXP most of them.

I think it only misses one feature: multipart downloading. i.e. making multiple connections to download something.

I searched and couldnt find anything about this. Does flasfxp support this? Or will it ever support this? Its important for me as it will determine if ill buy flashfxp or not .

I could find these links:

http://www.inicom.net/forum/showthread.php?t=11845&highlight=multiple+threads --> it seems that flashfxp doesn support multiple threads??? Multiple file downloading will also be ok...

currently, flashfxp does not support multipart downloading or downloading multiple files at once.

Too bad.

FlashFXP is THE best tool (i tested many..) but it really misses two VERY important options:
- tabbed function (much better than multiple windows)
- multiple threads

I know this is discussed very much but just wanted to let know these r very important for users :)

dev are well aware of that and i'm sure it's on their to do list for the next version of flashfxp.

tabbed is more important than multipart function to me

Are you sure? I think they should rewrite their program if wanna support multitabs and multipart download.
