speed problems

hi,
i make a fresh ioftpd install withount any scripts on an old 500mhz/256MB win2000 mashine.
file transfer without FTP (totalcomander) i got 10.000 KB/s with FTP (totalcomander/FlashFXP) i only got 5.000 KB/s.
i checked already the Bandwidth throttling comments in the ioftpd.ini, , so any ideas?

OK, now i see that the CPU get up tu 50% if i make an upload, any ideas?

i forgot to say i will use this ftp only on LAN so i realy need more speed, i decided to take ioftpd because i guess the ambitious for the box aren´t much high.
i am the only one with this problem?

how have you got your lan set up?

striaght pc to pc ?
router ?

are you using the native windows drivers for your nic cards or have you got the latest from manufactor ?

i only got the problem with connections over ioftpd, with windowsexplorer over network shares i´ve got full speed

does noone have any ideas? i am the only one who using an old box? c´mon guys give a noob some help
