Connection probs outside my lan

Hi there i have setup a server with ioftpd it works fine from inside my lan but when i try to connect with the same details from outside my lan it wont connect, i tested netstat -ano and it's listening on my internal & external ip on port 444 but it just wont connect from outside my lan.

you cant connect to the server while being behind a router using the WAN ip

hi helenoksen i have a dns on my external ip i try to connect with that, its weird cuz the same setup worked fine in serv-u i could connect from outside my router fine but i cant with ioftpd

you could ask a friend to connect with the dns and see if it works. if it works for him but not for you (with the same login details) then im afraid you'll have to keep using your LAN ip or go back serv-u if this is too much of a problem.

thx for the info helenoksen, ive sorted it now i read through a load of the posts on the forum and it seems like setting the Hosts.Rules to POLICY ACCEPT 1024 does the trick
