Using FlashFXP to download instead of saving target as

Can I use FlashFXP to download things off the net instead of right clicking and picking save target as. I'm on dialup so some things i'm trying to get take a really long time so I need to use a program that I can pause the download. If FlashFxp cannot do this is there another program that might do this?

flashfxp is an ftp client, so you can download anything you want as long as it's from ftp.
