since Vista has now entered the public beta stage, i was curious as to wether anyone has tried io with Vista. and if so, does it function the same way as it does and other OS's

ok, i gave it a try and even though ioFTPD.exe will run, ioBanana.exe (if said script is installed) will crash upon login and uploading/moving/copying/extracting/saving files on to a drive formatted in Windows XP can not be done all ... this has to do thought with the Windows Vista filesystem and not ioFTPD

i had to copy the ioFTPD folder to the primary hdd just so i could try it out without having Vista errors everywhere

also, i tried just commenting all the ioBanana.exe commands and leaving the ioA.exe commands uncommented and ioFTPD.exe would not run at all ... so pretty much you must run it 'out-of-the-box' with no scripts at all

I just came across this thread today, and took a few minutes to look into it. I could not reproduce ioFTPD crashing, it worked fine during my tests.

As for ioBanana crashing, I tested ioBanana v20 and it does indeed crash during initialization. So I started ioBanana from a debugger, and determined that it crashes inside the libmysql.dll library, which means that the MySQL client library is doing something odd inside its DLL entry point. You could try updating the bundled libmysql.dll file, assuming ioBanana's developers haven't tweaked the bundled one.

Hi,
I had it fixed with the old ioBanana, all you have to do is comment this line is ioFTPD.ini

;stor = EXEC ..\scripts\ioBanana\ioBanana.exe pre_stor
