fxp problems,but works with dmz (all ports open)

I have a linksys router..and have problem fxp to my server.. seems like it only works when i enable dmz (allports open) tried alternative fxp etc..but doesnt work..except for when i enable dmz

what is wrong ???

The port forwarding on your router is set up incorrectly.
Make sure you add the data connection ports as well as the service listen port. Default is 1024-2048 I think.
