check your FireWall, it is probably blocking it

The windows internal firewall service is disabeled und no other sw or hw firewall installed !

it is a fresh install windows xp sp2 (fw disabled) and only installd flashfxp

if you have a router, make sure it's forwarding that port to your machine.
also if you are using some other ident server(mirc is common) it might interfere.

I have the same problem as this. It has to be mIRC which is blocking it. If you change the port in FlashFXP will the ident work?

There is an identd option is mirc 'enable only when connecting', make sure this is turned on, then you can rule out mirc causing a problem.

A few other common issues are certain software firewalls or anti virus type programs that can by default block identd requests. Another common issues is router settings, there are a number of routers with an option (enabled by default) that blocks requests on port 113.
