The "problem" is that one of the servers doesn't allow fxp.

The "problem" is that one of the servers doesn't allow fxp.

Any ideas on how to get it to allow fxp?

I use cpanel 10.8.1-STABLE 114 linux based on both servers

cpanel isn't a ftp server. it's just an interface to manage some of the settings.
if you administer both servers, you need to consult documentation for both on how to enable fxp.
without knowing what ftpd you are using, there is no way to suggest anything specific.

A ftpd is a ftp daemon. It's a generic name for a service that handles ftp connections/transfers.

I don't know cpanel at all but you could ask your hosting provider what ftpd they are using. Also with some ftpd you can see a banner with the name of the ftpd and its version when you login.

I spoke to m servers amin - they said that tis kind of transfer is not allowed due to security, they also refused to tell me what ftpd the use but offered to move files for me - sure, right, yea, for real. :{

My providers www.darkenhosting.com dont like doing much work it seems, no-matter how long and intricate your emails are - they respond with a 4-6 word answer

Ah well looks like there's no fxp 4me :(
