...the above text is from FXP v3.2.0 build 1080. It is the shareware version. Every time we try to transfer a file we get this error message. Every option is default in the config. I did try enabling those two checkboxes for alternative upload/download and still the same message.

I tried searching the forums before I posted too just to make sure I wasnt duplicate posting. :)

Any advice?

This message means you are not allowed to fxp. If it's your server (which is very unlikely considering you're using an anonymous account) and you want to allow it, you might want to read this page of the ncftpd documentation (http://www.ncftp.com/ncftpd/doc/config/g/allow-outgoing-proxy-data-connections.html).

But, this seems kinnda wierd 2 me......
If i recall correctly so does 550 means "requested action not taken. file unavailable (e.g., file not found, no access)."

Just did a test myself and no probs @ all even fxp worked just fine

ftp.avault.com does not allow FXP
