I finally see that someone ( you ! ) undestood very well my point of view. I had the same strange corruption in the past, that's why I needed to see what was going on in detail.
Finally seems I'm not alone here in my quest for having a better FTP client available.
I tried even to design a possible user interface for the options I suggested, but in the post it's not very-well rendered, but it should give the idea.
I think you're true, the modification for the "last kbytes" check shouldn't be too difficult to implement if the code is decently written and it solves most (not all) the possible corruption problems.
I see that you are a '''registered user'', maybe they'll listen to you more than they did with me.
