The free space would have to be reported by the FTP server in order to see it within FlashFXP and it would show this in the session status window. Most likely something changed with the FTP server running on your xbox, whether its a configuration setting or something I am not entirely sure.
I know with Gene6 FTP server for Windows you can add custom pre-defined variables to server status messages to echo the free space back to the client. Perhaps the xbox FTP server has something similar.
