pion: I doubt the lockup is directly related to disk problems. It is however likely that a disk that was causing errors by timing out, etc and forcing lots of aborted uploads/downloads might very well make problems in aborting much more likely to show up. I'm not referring to the previous message about how the server responds to the command, but to the actual act of forcing the socket closed. I'm going to have to change the way that is handled. I obviously made some good changes in these newer releases but not enough...
