I might add that ioftpd hangs with ssl disabled in nxmydb config aswell.

I was having some problems with application verifier. I couldn't get io started proper due to io taking up all the ram on the box (about 400mb, and then it started paging), so I decided to kill the process. I tried it on a faster box, there it has the same behaviour, but the process dies during startup.. it does however spawn ioftpd-watch.exe, and start consuming ram, before it dies.
