I'm assuming it's directory caching taking so much time?
Is it possible to speed up that directory caching by specifying max folder depth or set some max execution time or similar? That time is on a core2 system with plenty free ram, and idle disk IO..

Basicly the problem is that the server is refusing any connection until that VFS WARNING log entry is written
