The bot needs to be able to use shared memory to communicate with ioFTPD. Most likely you are trying to run ioFTPD as a service and the bot as a regular process. Prior to Vista that wouldn't be an issue, but in Vista+ Microsoft changed things so services run in their own context for security reasons. Try starting both manually and see if that fixes the problem. Also, make sure you haven't changed the window name to use in either config file.

My suggestion is use something like FireDaemon to run the bot and server so they will always be in the same context if you want them to run as services.
