I'm not sure if this is a bug, but it is not possible to change the sort order under certain circumstances, like a LIST in progress or certain parts of the login process. Frankly I'm not sure if this is by design or not, but I don't see why it wouldn't be technically possible NOT to change the sort order at times like those. Perhaps you could shed some light on this?
