There will be as many public betas as needed (in order to get it stable) before the final version. However feature set for 1.0 has been (finally, such thing has never happened before in history of ioFTPD) frozen, and focus is now on finalizing the product.

I earlier mentioned that 1.0 will reuse some of the old code base. This statement is no longer valid. We came to conclusion that the old code is not on-par with the new code in terms of clarity and quality. Those interested to see what kind of changes I mean, can take a peek at: new and old. There was no actual need (performance/stability issues) to rewrite this part (or many other parts), but it had to be done for sake of clarity (or does someone actually think that old code is easy to debug?
